The Climate of Tucson for 2021 showed some interesting results
This is the one everybody loves - temperature months 1-12 and hour of the day (Military 24 hour clock)
92 days (25%) of our days were in the 90's°F. 72 Day's were above a hundred. every single day had a lest 10 MPH wind speed. And the best part 312 days of zero rain - got to love that! You can see here the winds during a typical day are strongest from 2 p.m. (14 hour) to 4 p.m. (16 hour)
.
This one just tells me where our wind was coming fromThe Dew Point tells us how much water the atmosphere has soaked up. You can really tell the monsoons started in July and ended in September (Blue band shows lots of moisture in the air).
This graph is showing the high and low temps during a single day. It is interesting the higher temperature days also have typically a low temperature differential. This can be explained by cloud cover. Cloud cover here in southern Arizona moderates the highs but does trap in what heat does make it through is trapped and keeps the lows from dipping too low.

I love your heat maps. I'm definitely going to avoid June in Tucson! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery wise choice Gary - June stands out like a sore thumb or more like broken arm :-)
